FOREX GROWTH BOT - DEC 26

Hi all, hope everyone had a great holiday! Today I had 2 FGB trades that closed for a loss of approx. 59 pips total loss. The market had spiked up fast and then the market quickly went into correction mode. I was not surprised at these 2 losses as the market has not been trending as of late.

Let's hope the market calms down a bit after the holiday's are over.

The are a couple of things I really like about this EA. For one the system trades with a tight SL and a realistic  take profit. The risk to reward is not as good as say FGB(which is a different strategy altogether), but for a scalper it is quite good. Also the new version contains a news filter and should help keep DD to a minimum.

The vendor account was doing quite well but I could not verify if it was a demo account or a real money account.

The cost of this system is $117.99. This includes a licence for use on 4 accounts.

FOREX OVERDRIVE - OLDIE BUT GOODY?

Hi all, I have a Forex system for you today that has been around for a long time. This has been around longer than the FGB. I wanted to revisit this as many may have forgotten about it by now.


The Strategy runs on the 5 min. time frame for the Eur/Usd and the Gbp/Usd. The EA aims for profits in the 15-25 pip range. The problem with this system has always been the really large hard SL set at 325 pips from the opening of trade. Now most of the time you will not even see the SL hit. But all it takes is a couple back to back and all of a sudden you find yourself down 650 pips. Now you have to crawl out of this hole with the aforementioned 15-25 pip gains.

So I scoured the internet for a forward test for the Forex system. The best I could find was this one. This unfortunately stopped updating back in June 2010. But you can see what I mean about the poor risk to reward ratio. The account lost 25% gain in one trade hitting hard SL. There is an account on the vendor page but it stopped trading in Jan 2012.

It is my feeling that in order to avoid the high SL with this Forex robot, one must do extensive backtesting to find a hard SL that will not take away months of profits. I believe this system has potential if one was to "work" with the settings to find the most favorable trade settings (through backtesting)that would be comfortable to use.

Good day, well the FGB continues to trade well as of late. Today I have gained +216 pips on my account so far with 2 trades still open. For the month I am up +435 pips.

Good day all, I have a basket of trades (4 open) with FGB. The market has been bullish for about a week now.

I am a little concerned as the market is very overbought. The bot has been performing well on a very popular broker I just started using. Contact me and I may reveal which broker I'm using. It seems I am getting more pips than the vendor's account, at least for now.

Is anyone else having success with the FGB? Feel free to let me know, I love to communicate with other forex traders!

One thing I have learned about this bot is, no matter how many losses you get in a row, it always seems to give it back to you! You just have to be a little patient.

JOKER EA - A LAUGHING MATTER?

Hi all, good day. This post is about the Joker EA. This Forex trading system runs on the Eur/Usd on the 5 minute time frame. The Joker EA sets a dynamic SL and TP based on volatility of the market at any given time. I really like EA's that set the TP and SL dynamically. I can think of another EA that does this, and it is one of my favorites.

The trading chart reminds me of the WSFR chart. Another great EA. I am guessing the trade entries are based on the EMA and volatility by the picture shown here.

"The best strategy we come up with is a breakdown strategy. Take profit and Stop loss are both dynamically adjusted according to market volatility. Open prices are being used, so you should get almost the same results on demo and live accounts. and, of course, a 100% backtest match."

Stop Loss triggers somewhere between 1 and 50 pips, but no more than 50 pips. Take Profit triggers between 1 and 35 pips.

Backtests are available on the webpage as well and are 90% modelling quality.

The cost of this appears to be $500. So a little more expensive than some other commercial EA's. Time will tell if this is worth the price. The refund policy is stated "according to reqnow refund policy, our refund policy is “60 days money back guarantee”. However, once refunded without a good reason, you can’t buy it again later."

I could not find any forward tests on the website at time of writing. Hopefully the vendor will set one up soon!

Edit May 2013: Apparently this EA now is up to V3.6 which incorporates 3 separate scalping strategies.

Good day all. I wanted to post about the history of FGB. This is a readily available list of the upgrades made to the robot. I want my readers to be able to use this as a reference to further improve their trading with the robot. Enjoy!

Hi all,  had a FGB trade that opened on friday last week and was in some moderate DD. The market opened up with a gap to the bullish side. The robot has netted me a small 3.3 pip gain at close of trade.

Happy Friday, market is overbought but I have a FGB trade open at the very top of a long bar. I don't see this trade going anywhere anytime soon, especially at the end of the week. The long term trend is still bullish on the higher time frame so there is still hope for this trade. The price has started to retrace and market is in correction mode.

FOREX GAAAM - WHAT IS A GAAAM?

Hi all, I must say I have never heard of a Gaaam before, any thoughts? Maybe someone can enlighten me. Anyway I saw this account on Myfxbook and the demo results are incredible! But I must caution it IS a demo account. We know how good the Million Dollar Pips EA is on a demo account right?


What bothers me about this demo account is that the trade history is private. So I cannot analyze how this thing trades. Anyway in November this EA has gained 1597% from a $1000 account. WOW imagine if this was a real account. This begs the question why would the vendor not run this on a real account starting with just $1000? Seems a little fishy to me.

This appears to be a signal trader. So you must install a signal copier to receive the signals. In addition this appears to be a basket trader that trades many pairs. Floating DD will most likely be greater than 40%.

FOREX AUTO TRADING? - THINGS TO CONSIDER

Hi all, in this post I want to touch on the important aspects to consider when thinking of starting a Forex Automated strategy(EA). I believe even more important than choosing a good strategy is finding a broker you are "comfortable" with. I would recommend a broker that has a large amount of liquid, thus there is a lower possibility of broker bankruptcy. Also important is to find a broker that preferably has "raw spreads" these brokers work best with automated strategies. Some EA's require excellent "execution" to perform at their best, do some due diligence and you'll be on your way.

In addition to finding a good broker for you strategy, the EA you pick should tailor your trading style and risk appetite. If  you can't sleep at night when you lose 1 dollar playing the lottery, then grid trading strategies, or trading in general, probably isn't for you.

Remember the best strategies will trim your losses and let your profits run. These type of strategies are the best long term systems.

Also important is to run your EA on a VPS or virtual private server. This is in actuality a PC the is rented and  is not affected by outside power issues that may arise, or PC updates.

In conclusion, do your homework and decide exactly how you want to trade, then develop an action plan. Remember trading should actually be "boring" if you are feeling to much emotion either way, then your risk is probably too high. Trading is not supposed to be gambling.

The wallstreet forex robot "eur33" backtest is here. Hello, I wanted to write today about the tick data backtest for the Wallstreet Forex Robot. This backtest is for the newer "Eur33" setting. This backtest runs from 2007-2011 on the Eur/Usd pair. The risk is pretty low for this setting at 3% risk, so the overall gain is only 203% This is the same setting I run on my wallstreet account seen at the bottom of this page. I run mine at 10% risk with recovery=on because it is a small account.

As we look at the monthly analytics at the bottom of the report, we see that it only had about 10 losing months over the test period. Also when it did have a losing month it was mostly less than 1% loss. I just wanted to bring this to my readers attention, because it is a quality backtest and an excellent robot.

FOREX MINUTE TRADER - PROFITS EVERY MINUTE!?

Hi all, in this post I would like to share a forex system made by the same vendor (I believe) as million dollar pips. We all know how good the million dollar pips EA is on demo accounts. But in a live trading environment with spreads and slippage etc it is very difficult to get the million dollar pips EA to perform well. So does the vendor create a product with Forex minute trader that performs on any real account?

  Webpage analysis:

The webpage is somewhat easy to navigate and informative. What disturbs me is there are a demo account and a real account posted on the webpage, but both of these are private and cannot be viewed! So I ask why even have them there in the first place? You will also see some of the usual hype found on other Forex websites, you know "how I quit my day job" in a week! This kind of marketing drives me mad and is a turn off.

  Backtests

The strategy is called "minute trader" because it trades the 1 min. chart for 5 different pairs. What is interesting about the backtests is that they are 99% modeling quality on the 1 minute time frame! I did not know that this could be achieved. It is my understanding that the maximum modeling quality for a 1 minute test is 25% modeling quality.

  Strategy

The strategy is an extreme scalper similar to the million dollar pips EA(MDP). I really do believe this one will go down as an EA very similar to the MDP EA in that it just won't perform well for most users. Some of the pairs it trades are as follows:

EUR/USD, USD/CHF, EUR/JPY, USD/JPY, GBP/USD

Some of the highlights include:
