A sound manual trading strategy. Hi everyone, you may have time to manually trade your forex account, and for those I wanted to share a simple yet effective way to trade without an expert.
Support and Resistance Trading
This is about as easy as it gets, yet many traders try to complicate trading with many indicators drawn all over their chart. Let's have a look at this chart. This would be a trade set-up for a "long" trade or a "buy" trade.
In the above example we would have a profit of around 28 pips. Not bad at all. Now depending on your risk appetite you would probably want to put a stop loss around the start of the support line. This would protect the trade in the event of a severe reversal or news event.
If we mirror the above chart the same can be used for a "short" trade or a "sell" of the market. The line would actually now be called a resistance line. When the price moves up and closes around the resistance line, we can place our order. You will notice that the price bar will not always close on or near the line. This is common and generally not a good time to enter the market. Look for the bar(candlestick) to close around the line.
I hope this illustrates a simple way to trade the market if you have the time to "watch" the market. Otherwise a solid expert advisor is probably your best bet, as you may be missing trade opportunities. Happy Trading!

Forex autotrading all-stars 2013. Hi Guys! every year I like to review the top performing forex robots. For this year we have some recognizable EA's and some new kids on the block. For this year there are 4 robots from which I would trust my own cash with. Without further ado let's examine these shall we?
1. ) The WSFR or Wallstreet Forex Robot. For this year as well as last year it is STILL a wonderful robot to trade with. Let's examine why;
>To date at time of writing, 67.73% gain
>571 pips
>Low DD of 8.88%
2.) Volatility Factor EA. This is a relatively newer EA with a higher DD than WSFR, but higher gain and more pips. The higher DD slots this one at number 2.

3.) Steadywinner V6. The successor to version 5 has done well especially as of late.

FAP Turbo 2.0 | Does It Deliver?
FAP Turbo 2.0 does it deliver? Hi guys! The original FAP Turbo supposedly made over 200 people millionaires. Does this new version have the goods to deliver such "performance" or is it just blowing air?
Upon landing on the site we are looking at similar type marketing efforts. You know all the graphics and fancy videos. If you are a seasoned forex trader, you are all too familiar with this type of marketing.
There is trade history, but it is not verifiable. There is no way to track the trade history as far as I could see. No Myfxbook or FxStat.
We also have the typical "testimonials" found on the first version. This is fine but I want to see more verified trade results on REAL accounts. Who knows how these testimonials were made?
There is a screenshot of a backtest, but you can not click on it for analysis. Supposedly we can trade 8 different currencies here, with the addition of the new bitcoin currency. The bitcoin currency is slowly gaining some respect, but too early to tell at this point.
The vendor states on the webpage that we can open an account with a couple of the named brokers, and the FAP Turbo 2.0 robot will be pre-installed for use. This is great but what am I trading? maybe I would try with a demo account but that's it.

Binary Options Trading Signals | Are There Any Good Ones?
Binary options trading signals are there any good ones? Hi Guys! I am new myself to Binary Options Trading, but this one caught my eye and I wanted to share it with my loyal readers. I am going to explain to you exactly what a "Binary" Options trade is briefly. If you are a technical person who has taken a "digital theory" class maybe in college you might remember what the word "binary" refers to. We are talking about 1s and 0s only. So in a binary options trade it really does not matter what the price quotes are, but more importantly if you guess the direction right.
In a Binary Options Trade you will typically have a few different types of expiry times. You will typically find a trade that may expire for that week, a 15/30 min. trade, or for those that live in the fast lane, a 60 second option. So let's explore some examples shall we.
Mike has just bought(a call in options trading) the EURUSD @1.30000 with a trade expiry in 60 secs.
After the 1 minute is up the price has closed @ 1.30100. So basically the trade went 10 pips in his favor, and since he bought the trade, he has won this trade for whatever contract size he determined when he placed the trade. Let's say he placed the same trade but he thought the price quote would go down after the 60 secs. He would have placed a (put) or a sell on the EURUSD. The price closed @ 1.30100 which would have resulted in a loss.
Apparently with this signal service you can trade directly with the moderator using windows. No SMS or email signal here. This is good when you are trading the 60 sec option, as you would need to follow in real time for accuracy of the trade signal.

EZ Trader Pro | William Morrison Miracle EA?
EZ trader pro William Morrison miracle? Hi guys, let's talk about a brand new EA from William Morrison creator of MDP. This one trades the EURUSD on the 15 minute chart. I believe this is to be a signal service based off an EA on a server.
What is the strategy?
According to the vendor page we have a system based off 3 indicators with a lot of "tweaking" It appears to use a tight SL of around 40 pips. Targets are aimed around 15 pips so not the greatest risk to reward ratio. We have a system that is reliant on hitting a high profitability percentage.
What about backtesting?
Backtesting is shown as a tick data BT 99%. But only dates back to 2010 and not the maximum amount of time(which would be back to 2007). I really wonder why the BT is not a longer one? Is it because the strategy failed miserably before this date? One can only guess and I don't have the means right now to prove that notion.
What about forward testing?
I have included the widget below of the forward test started. Interestingly this account was started with $5000. This is a nice deposit and displays the vendors confidence in this creation.

I remember purchasing William's Fast Forex Millions robot in the past. The support was good but the system was doomed from the start. Basically everyone the used this system became Beta testers for it. Thankfully refunding the EA was a viable option.
So did William finally create a masterpiece? Only time will tell but this vendor sure does like to create countless Forex trading software. Stay tuned indeed.

Forex Diamond EA V4.0 | New From WSFR!
This post is all about the Forex Diamond EA. Yup here is yet another profitable EA from the folks over at WSFR. This one appears to trade 4 pairs, although the account that is set up is only trading the GBP/USD. Please look below for the updated results.
It is interesting to me that the EA was just released and it is already up to Version 4.0. But if I remember correctly WSFR was released at V3.8 and has performed very nicely to date.
There are 99% tick data backtests available on the website. This is a nice improvement over their last releases which included only 90% backtests.
The trading logic or strategy logic is 3 fold. This is explained below;

I have to wonder why the WSFR team continues to release new EA's when they have a few good ones under their belt already? Why not just perfect the EA's you already have?
This EA is being promoted as having a much better recovery factor, when compared to the other systems. Still when talking recovery, we must talk martingale as we use higher lot sizes to compensate for losses.

Wallstreet Forex EA Soars To New Highs!

Maverick EA | Over 6 Years No Loss?
Hey guys. This EA is being advertised as one that does not lose, so I guess we can label this as the holy grail! Let's see if we can determine if this is indeed the case.
Firstly I notice it trades on the Eur/Usd with the 1 min. chart. Hmm I think I may already know an EA that trades like this one. The million dollar pips EA comes to mind. Some would say this is a great EA if you have the perfect broker conditions. When you are trading on the lowest possible time frame on MT4 we can witness very different results in price feeds between brokers. Not to mention slippage and execution quality also. This time frame selection is a red flag for me.
So what type of trading EA is this?
The website makes it very clear that this is a "semi-martingale" trading system. Also we are told the chances of getting stopped out are about 1:1000. The Maverick EA is based on ATR and "blowing your account" is simply not possible. The martingale progression is as follows; 1, 2, 2, 4, 8 with up to 3 positions being utilized 95% of the time. There is a "video" illustrating how the Maverick EA was constructed. This "video" can be seen here
Backtests are of the tick data variety so this is good, and they can be viewed here.
Forward testing looks good so far, but certainly don't quit your day job.

Forward testing looks good so far, but certainly don't quit your day job.
I really do WANT to like this EA, but trading on such a low time frame is just too risky in my eyes. Basically the planets have to align themselves just so for good performance. Perhaps I am being way too critical with this, but my experience holds me back some. If anyone is trading this, please let us know how it is going!
Bonzer Bot EA | Take It For A Spin?
Hi guys, this one is a signal service from the folks over at New Gen. Details are kinda scarce but it appears to be a trade copier service using Signalmysql. The recommended brokers are of the Non- FIFO type so I would venture a guess that this cannot be run successfully by US based traders.
The Recommended Brokers Are;
Trading on the 5min. time chart through MT4 only this trades all the majors including the Eur/Jpy. Performance so far has been impressive, although I must caution trading signals sent through using this technology has been less than reliable.

Wildfire EA | Range Trading On The Euro
Good Day. Here I want to discuss the Wildfire EA. This is a range trading bot similar to the Volatility Factor EA. The concept here is simple. Buy when the market moves "X" amount of pips south, and Sell when the market moves "X" amount of pips north.
Given that the Euro has not been trending well lately, (which is why many "breakout" strategies are failing now) logically this might work. Supposedly this one has a trending element to it as well, in case the market behavior swiftly changes.
Backtests are available on the site, but given the volatility of the markets lately, I wouldn't read too deeply in to them IMHO. More importantly we have some running vendor accounts.

Work from Home Opportunity | Trade Forex?
Work from home opportunity trade forex? Hi guys. I have been trading now for a couple years. I have "learned the ropes" so to speak and can honestly tell you there are only a couple of trading systems currently worth trading. The best one I will reveal in this post and is widely known as WSFR. This is the only trading system to withstand over 2 years of live trading results.
You may have heard of the Forex Growth Bot. This trading system was until recently one of the few good systems to trade with. The drawdown this suffered recently demotes this system into the abyss. There are a couple of reasons why I believe this to be the case. See below;
1. Low profitability (< 40% win rate) With a win rate this low you must capitalize on specific market conditions that only present themselves less than half of the time!
2. Diversification - Yes I know the Eur/Usd is the most liquid pair but FGB only performed "well" for a short time on one pair.

2. Account margin/capital (the amount of capital in your account)
For example, if we have an account with 100USD and we have gained 50% on this account, we have made how much? 50USD right? not a lot of money in today's world. Conversely, if we have a 50,000 account and have earned this same 50% gain, then we have earned 25,000USD! By the way these are pretty conservative gains as we could realize anywhere from 50%-100% gains annually.
If you have been struggling to find a good solution to earn money from home, I believe this is what you have been searching for. Once you sign up to use this strategy the creator of the WSFR will help you get things all set up! They really are very good at what they do.

Mirror Trader | Any Successful Trading Systems?
Hi Guys, I have recently started trading the mirror trading platform with my FXCM account. I decided to do this because I found it hard to get good results with my favorite trading system WSFR. This is most likely due to the high spreads.
Anyway I want to talk about a strategy known as "Amao188". This is a range trading strategy trading several pairs on the platform "mirror trader". the strategy works best on the EUR/GBP (probably due to the closely related economics with these two currencies). Through about 200 trades the maximum DD has been around 200 pips, while it has bagged approximately 1200 pips since March of this year.
If this kind of performance continues, this will be one of the best systems to trade. I want to make my readers aware of this.
Those who have a FXCM account can trade the platform using their login details given at time of account opening. You can also trade a DEMO account with this platform if you wish to give it a test drive.

Automated Forex Trading | What's Your Style?
Hi guys, today I want to discuss how to choose a strategy that trades on autopilot for you. More precisely finding a system that trades like you would manually. Ask yourself "what kind of trader am I", or "what's my trading style?"
Many new traders look for a EA that is very popular in hopes to "get rich quick". This is the wrong approach to trading any instrument, especially Forex which carries more risk. We must think "outside the box" just a little bit. Let's not trade a strategy just because everyone is doing it.
So how do we find a strategy that is good for us?
Make a list of what is important to you with the following parameters in mind.
1. Profitability(Win%).
2. Market exposure appetite(how long in the market).
3. Risk Appetite.
4. Trading style(scalper,breakout. etc.).

I have found that my risk appetite has improved over the years. Most likely this is due to my understanding of how the market behaves.

Steadywinner V6.0 EA | Quick Backtest
Good day all, the newest version of Steadywinner EA is yet to be released to the public. But don't fret you can still trade the new version with the trial version for small accounts. The EA is a nice H1 scalping trader.
I downloaded the new V6.0 and ran a quick backtest to see how it trades. Watch this video below;
After watching it trade, it was apparent to me that the 110 SL of the previous version has been changed to a tighter SL. It appears the SL is around 70 pips now. Also the expert appears to trade more frequently as well.

Steadywinner EA | Alternative Pairs?
Good day, you probably have heard of the Steadywinner EA for the H1 timeframe Eur/Usd right? I ran a quick BT with this EA on the Gbp/Usd and was pleasantly surprised.
This just proves there is a sound strategy here and possibly deserves a better look. Let's take a look at the BT report shall we.

One will note the profit factor and the profitability are quite high for this pair. Yes there are rough patches but some would consider this good enough to trade, including myself.
I also conducted a quick BT on the Aud/Usd pair and was also surprised. This BT was not as good as the Gbp/Usd/ with a profit factor around 1.62 and larger DD indeed.
In the above graph you will note it goes through these mini DD periods and comes out of them nicely. I know this is ONLY a BT, but still is noteworthy. Also this is a relatively short BT.
The vendor is currently working on a version 6 as we speak. I Will have a review of that if I can get my hands on it!
NOTE: This is NOT a cherry picked BT. I was trying to see how it would perform in the current market.

OK so we can see it currently returns about 3% monthly, which some may say is not much. But if you are trading with 100K then this equates to about $3000 a month! Now this is an average of course but you get the idea.
Very nice results indeed. It is probably noteworthy that many are not trading these settings with low start up capital. Conversely, If you are trading this with $1k, about 3% would equate to $30 a month. Still not bad but we wouldn't break any banks with this return right?

The vendor has provided us with a BT that has over 5000 trades. Remember that this type of strategy is a "hold-and-hope" style basket trader. The fact that it survived this BT is saying some good things indeed.
You will note 5538 trades in just over 3 years trades. Over 6% monthly gain with a max. DD of around 46.6%.

This account has not had a losing month since its inception in Sept. 2012. It is running at a 30% monthly clip with around 34% max DD. This is not surprising to me as the markets have not been trending strongly for quite some time now.
While I cannot recommend any type of strategy like this, if you have a higher risk appetite and a ton of leverage to play around with, this might appeal to you. Please let me know if you are going to run this and share your experience with us.

Good day all. Here is a great website that has many different options if you feel the need to tweak your own expert advisor. The name of the site is Fx Builder. Apparently they have 3 different "types" of packages based on 3 different strategy "genres". Omega Trend EA | Performance Update May 2013
Good Day, today I will discuss an updated performance report on the Omega Trend EA. The below graph illustrates performance of trading 3 currency pairs by the vendor on a demo account. This account is trading the Eur/Usd, Eur/Jpy, and the Gbp/Usd. You should notice the high Drawdown for a small gain.
But if you look a little closer you will notice that most of the DD has come from the Gbp/Usd, and the Eur/Jpy. When we look at the performance of the Eur/Usd alone, it paints an entirely different picture indeed. See below image:
Above you will notice that this pair is running at a very nice 7.37% monthly rate with a relatively small 21.82% DD. All this while most trend trading systems are in some serious DD right now. With this being said I DO recommend trading this sytem with the Eur/Usd pair in the future. It has handled these recent wild markets rather well. Happy Trading!

Top Forex Systems (EA) | Performance May 20,2013
Good Day, as we look at the performance of some of the most popular trading systems, we can quickly see that volatility EA's are still struggling in today's markets.
Surprisingly scalpers, or strategies that are in and out of the market quicker; with less exposure, have been more successful as of late. This is probably due to the market and its tendency to show a lot of price correction lately. This type of market does not favor trend following strategies as a whole.

We can see WSFR continues to "sniff" out opportunities in these tough markets. Also He-Spider have been performing well because of its entries based on reversals.

Metatrader 4 (MT4) Tips | Expert Advisor Not Trading
Hi Guys, I have a solution for those trying to trade a Forex robot aka expert advisor that will not trade for you. Assuming you have "allow live trading" checked in the options pull down menu along with "enable expert advisors". If you are still not getting live automatic trading, there are a couple of other things we need to check.
We can check the experts tab at the bottom left tab to see what the expert is trying to do. If you see something like "expert X sell not opened" "trade is disabled; then the chart you are using is probably set-up for demo trading only. To verify this you can "right" click on the chart the expert is attached to and you should see an option for "trading". If you do not follow these below steps.
1. Remove all experts
2. Close all open charts
3. Open Market Watch
4. Right click in market watch and select "hide all"
5. Now right click and select "show all"
6. Right click on the desired chart to trade and left click "chart window"
Now if you right click on the chart you should see a "trading" option above the expert advisor selection.
This will allow the expert to take a trade. Basically if you right click on the chart and you don't see a trading option for you to trade, the expert can't trade as well!

Nadex Binary Options | Is This A Safe "Option"?
Good Day all, I stumble on this webpage while educating myself with binary options. This "broker" does not offer MT4 as a trading platform. They offer their trading via a unique real time chart that is all web-based.
So what is Binary Option Trading?

Broker Monster Forex Robot | Destroys The Competition?
Good Day all, This Forex Robot in actuality is a trade copier signal service where the trades are sent to the client terminal via a master server.
Upon landing on the webpage, one cannot doubt the similarities with the look and feel of the WSFR webpage. Not only this but some of the content is exactly the same. I wonder if this is developed by the same team?
When you purchase this copier you get to use their VPS service for no additional charge. This I believe is a great value as VPS charges can be large indeed.
There is a photo of a BT on the webpage, but it is only a photo and cannot be viewed. I don'y see how you can BT this as it is a trade copier? Maybe they are using their own EA as the master trader sent to client terminals. Regardless here is the results of the BT.

There are 2 price plans. For a single license we are charged $299. You will need at least $1000 to start trading this. You receive free updates and a performance guarantee. In addition you get the aforementioned VPS service. The other plan costs $489 with access to 5 live accounts. You will need to provide the vendor with your account numbers for trading.
The website states that only 10,000 clients will be allowed to trade this. So if you are interested in this I advise you act soon.
This may turn out to be a great trade signal service. What I don't like about these type of trading setups though is the lack of control over you account. Also what happens to you account if the vendor falls of the planet? Just my 2 cents though!

Powerful Scalping Robot | Worth A Look?
Hi Guys, here is a robot that trades on the 5 min TF of the Euro/Usd. It appears to trade similar to the Joker EA, which is derived from the WSFR. Let's look at a 99% BT performed from 2007 to date.
The selling point (if you will) with this one is, apparently it has an accurate entry signal and trades at a high frequency rate. This can be good for profits but can lead to higher DD as well in my experience. The screen shot of the trading chart even looks like the Joker EA.
There is a forward test the vendor has running, but it is only a demo account and many trade details are hidden. I don't know if this is intentional or not.
