The first strategy (BreakOut) is based on the fact that the price will eventually move either up or down. So, this strategy tries to place trades along the trend in order to take its profits. If the trend is reversed, the trade is closed and the opposite trade (of larger volume) is opened. In this way, the first strategy takes its profits when price breaks out of the channel either up or down. It works best on the trending market. During the ranging market, this strategy accumulates drawdown, which will be compensated (with a surplus profit) when price breaks out from the range.
The second strategy (Range) is a counter-trend one. It opens trades when price moves rapidly and away from its moving average, in the direction opposite to the price movement. This strategy takes profits at the price retreats. If the price continues its directional movement, new trades will be opened against the price movement. So, this strategy uses a variety of the grid martingale algorithm. As compared to many other grid martingale EAs, this strategy can be considered as a conservative one, since (i) the first grid level is placed when price is already far away from its moving average and (ii) increase of the volume of the trades is relatively slow.
The unique feature of Tricky Twister Fx is that the periods of the peaked drawdowns of the two strategies do not overlap! Market can be either trending or ranging at a given time, but not both.This feature allowed us to achieve a much more even distribution of the marginal load on the deposit and a double profitability of the EA as compared to other martingale strategies.
The EA will go on sale in May for around $229. Backtests are impressive for this type of strategy similar to the Forex Warrior.
